It is a common belief that kung fu is a kind of martial art that is Taekwondo, Judo, or Aikido. It is more or less a general term including various styles of martial art. In Kung fu, various styles are in use such as Long Fist, Eagle Claw, and Taiji Quan. Many people are under the misconception that kung fu is a soft style compared to some of the hard style in comparison to karate. But in fact, kung fu is a blend of both hard and soft techniques. A common belief prevails that kung fu is more of an external style and Taiji Quan and internal style.We should be aware of the fact that all kung fu is both an internal and external style.Kun fu is a better style of exercise compared to others like swimming, jogging, and karate. In the compared form of exercise, the ability of the person diminishes as one grows old but in case of kung fu, it grows. There is a very practical reason for this as it develops the inner faculties of vital energy and the mind. A kung fu practitioner exhibits more zeal and vitality when he is working or playing. He is able to be stable under challenging situations, remaining calm and composed.Study proves that kung fu helps you to stay out of the hospital for a longer period of time.The various styles within the kung fu art and can be broken down into a part by part. There are an internal styles, hard styles, soft styles, northern Chinese Kung fu, and southern Chinese Kung fu. It is important to note that a hard style is always external and a soft style is always internal. In the northern style, they teach us more about the distant fighting and the close style is taught in the southern style. Northern Chinese kung fu is more about the kicks and is more sport-ish and southern Chinese kung fu art has more techniques.Until about the 20th century, kung fu was practiced only by the elites the military, learned men, warrior monks, or the members of a distinct family. The European interference brought the Chinese self-esteem very low.
